AlunaGeorge feat Cautious Clay - Superior Emotion
The UK music duo AlunaGeorge (made up by vocalist Aluna Francis and producer George Reid) was made world famous, by a DJ Snake remix of her club anthem: You Know You Like It. The release of their latest EP titled Champagne Eyes, is a bit different from what we have come to expect from the artist. At six tracks complete, this EP hits many different genres; but resembles a blend of BPM, all the while being classified as R&B.
The song that stands out the most - Superior Emotion - also features one of our Muze Mondaze selected rising artists: Cautious Clay. In this new synthesized love duet, there is a certain level of calmness in the midst.
AlunaGeorge starts the song off with a poetic dedication to her love. Essentially, admitting that she gets an unneeded, yet welcoming sense of emotion and empowerment, from her lover:
“Battle with my instincts
With the second verse, Clay gives the singer exactly what she needs; while clay also admits that he’s a very patient lover and friend. In his response, he feels the same way about her
“You're something like a model
Both are feeling the motion of the emotions; one that is greater than normal, or as the artist would put it, superior. The lyrics to Superior Emotion fit with the musics melody, rather seamlessly, and the visuals reflect the implied vision that comes to mind when listening.
Also take a listen to Faulty, Famous and Cold Blooded Creatures (feat. Bryson Tiller), all from Champagne Eyes.
